| International exhibition on
non-destructive testing equipment and devices DEFECTOSCOPY 2002 has finished its regular
work session and celebrated its 3rd anniversary on September 13th.
On September 13th the 3rd International exhibition on non-destructive testing equipment
and devices DEFECTOSCOPY 2002 has finished its regular work session in Mikhailovsky
manege, St. Petersburg, Russia. The show combining the elements of either trade or
practice-referred scientific event has generated its efforts to concentrate on the maximum
input quality. The passed exhibition has gathered in one place manufacturers and suppliers
of all non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics means. Over sixty companies from
Belgium, Germany, Canada, Italy, Spain, Moldova, Russia, United States, Czech Republic and
Switzerland participated in DEFECTOSCOPY 2003 this year and placed their booths on more
than 1200 square meters in total.
The exhibition has grown up a great deal since its first debut
occurrence as an annual event in 2000. If to compare the present exhibition-related
indexes to those practicable three years ago, the number of companies-exhibitors by now
has almost doubled, while the number of NDT specialists visited the exhibition has reached
4.500. The show operated along with the 16th Russian scientific and technical conference
"Non-destructive testing and diagnostics", that empowered the participants of
both events to cooperate.
Over sixty companies participated in the DEFECTOSCOPY 2003
exhibition presented the full range of equipment, devices and means for non-destructive
testing and technical diagnostics within various industrial settings. Therefore, this year
we can be certain to say that the passed exhibition has really become the all-embracing
one, allowing NDT-related businesses from all over the world to communicate through
incorporation of various activities. Several new NDT sections such as dynamical,
radio-wave, and vibration testing have been added to the exhibition profile.
The exhibition participants were surprised with the large
number of the visited NDT specialists of various qualifications. The guests, in turn, were
presented with a special exhibition gift-set, consisting of the copy of September NDT
WORLD Review issue, the exhibition catalogue, and a 2003 wall-calendar.
The next one and the fourth-counted exhibition DEFECTOSCOPY
2003 was decided to be held on September 9-12, 2003 in St. Petersburg, Mikhailovsky
manege, as before.
