We are glad to inform you that the organizers of the exhibition 'Defectoscopy', making advances to wishes of Russian manufacturers and suppliers of NDT means, took a decision for the second time to hold exhibitions not in St. Petersburg, but in one of the regional industrial centres of Russia. This year it is the Western Siberia region with such big industrial cities as Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, with the population more than one million each.

Tomsk, one of the biggest industrial centres of Russia is chosen to host 'Defectoscopy 2008'.

Industry plays a key role in the Tomsk region economy. A quarter of population is employed at 3500 industrial enterprisers. The structure of industrial production is multisectoral. Core Industries are: fuel industry, electric power, nonferrous metallurgy, chemical and petrochemical industries, machine manufacturing, metal working etc. Dominant positions are occupied by fuel industry and nonferrous metallurgy. The share of these industries is more than 60% of total industry volume. The share of machine manufacturing, metalworking and electric power is also very essential. Tomsk region is the third most important centre of oil processing industry in Western Siberia. Well developed oil pipeline system operates in the region.
The exhibition will be held in the Tomsk International Business Centre 'Technopark' from 9 to 11 of September , supported by RSNDTD, EFNDT and ICNDT, organizers: Exhibition Company 'Restek' and the journal 'NDT World Review', coorganizer - Exhibition Centre 'Permskaya Yarmarka'. The conference of the exhibition, prepared in cooperation with Tomsk Regional Department of RSNDTD will take into account peculiarities of key industries of Tomsk and Western Siberia.

The next exhibition 'Defectoscopy 2009' will be held in St. Petersburg. 5% discount will be provided to exhibitors which took part in 'Defectoscopy 2008'.
