TOFD Application on Flaw Measurements in Welded Seams of Nuclear Power Objects

Main principles and advantages of TOFD method application are considered in the article. TOFD method is regarded as an advanced NDT technology for quantitative characteristic definition of defects. The NDT equipment (scanners, ultrasonic flaw detectors) manufactured by NPP “Prompribor” for TOFD method realization is described. The equipment software enables defect sizes to be measured to high-precision.
